Madara Vilde
Principal Ecologist

Meet Madara Vilde (aka Maddy), Wild Ecology’s Founder and Principal Ecologist who is passionate about about delivering high quality ecological services for your Project. 

Maddy is an experienced ecologist with demonstrated history of working in the environmental services industry for over 5 years. Having graduated from University of Edinburgh with a 1st Class Honours degree in Environmental Science she has been busy working in academia, conservation, and environmental consultancy setting in Northland and Auckland Regions.

Maddy brings years of fieldwork and ecological surveying experience to Wild Ecology, and she is a skilled surveyor of flora, avifauna, herpetofauna, bats and aquatic organisms. Her background in spatial analysis and mapping, and comprehensive understanding of ArcGIS and integrated GPS workflows allows Wild Ecology to deliver high quality spatial analysis and mapping services. 

Maddy is an excellent communicator and is experienced in getting all the right people engaged in the process at the right time, creating a seamless process to meet your time targets, and make best use of resources for your project.
